When building a schedule-driven Bot, where the Event does NOT have “ForEveryRow” turned on, all of Event,Process, and Tasks must not have any Table selected. They are “table-less”

However, the editor does not allow you to select any existing table-less Tasks from the Process>Step. You are forced to create a new Task from the Process>Step.
This is very inconvenient, especially if you’re wanting to copy an existing setup and just make a small change. Which is also exasperated by the fact that copying a Bot makes a copy of the Event and Process, but NOT the Task.
I started with one table-less Bot. I copied it. Then I copied the original Task. Here are the 2 Tasks now:
Back in the Process>Step, I try to change the original Task to the new one, but the dropdown does not list anything.

Hello Marc, thanks for raising this, I guess I missed the original ping. Having a look into the issue.
Ben.

@Marc_Dillon We determined what was happening and our plan for fixing it is to make it so that table-less tasks can be selected by (and only selected by) table less bots. I’ll try to get that out this week and will keep the thread posted.

@Marc_Dillon So I’ve put up a fix for it but it’s not in our release today. It should be in our release Tuesday/Wednesday, there’ll be a note for it in the release notes then if you track that or I’ll post here again.

Hello @Marc_Dillon , it’s been deployed now, can you let me know if it works to fix the issue you were having?

Thanks Ben. I can confirm that I can now select existing table-less Tasks from a Process-Step.
Now, the next step would be to allow a user to un-select any “Table name” within a Task. There does not seem to be any way to do that. Even when creating a brand new Task, it defaults to have some table selected, but there is no way to select “none”.

Hmm before I just do that let me check out if that allows people to break things in new ways that they couldn’t before/whether we signal well that something is broken because they set something to have no table.
