Sheets database has become too big

I have our entire construction business run from a conglomerate of about 6 different apps, each modified to the needs and access level of the various users in our organization.

The apps share a single google sheets database, with over 70 tables, which has now become too big in terms of volume of data.

As a result a few apps have become slow and quite troublesome to deal with.

Will migrating the database to an SQL database mitigate the problem? Or is there any other way around? A long time ago @Steve suggested me to archive data, but currently, due to reasons too cumbersome to explain, that can not be done.

Yes it sounds real database would be better in your case as with the AppSheet Enterprise subscription (you need it with real databases) the app is able to read 10 tables parallel. Though if the you have a lot of data, you need to figure out how to filter data that is sent to app user’s device. With real databases, you are able to convert the security filter to a query. That will reduce the data amount that is sent to AppSheet server. When using gSheet as a data source, all data needs to be sent to AppSheet server.
