SetUp Enable Chat Apps

Hi fellas.

Can anyone guide me through the funcionality Chat → Enable Chat Apps. (what it does and how does it work?)

That funcionality doesn’t show in my appsheet account.

I only see in templates apps.

I tried to search in documentation but couldn’t find anything.

I appreciate any help.

Chat apps is coming soon! I recently saw a post on this but can’t seem to find it again. I think preview of the feature should show up soon with the final version in the system by year’s end - but don’t quote me on that!!

Actually, the final version will not be out by this year’s end. Our current target for GA is H1 2023, so stay tuned!

Here’s the post that came out earlier this week where the Private Preview for Workspace customers was launched to the Community.
Remember, you’ll have to fill out the form that is linked in the post to begin previewing the feature.

Hi there,

I am currently working on configuring a project within Google Cloud Platform that requires the creation of Google Chat apps. However, due to domain-restricted sharing policies within our organization, I need to allowlist specific service accounts to proceed with this setup (as per your latest resolution proposal).

I have been provided with the necessary service account information for non-EU regions (ending in @appsheet -prod-service-accounts). However, I am unable to find the correct service account domain or email specific to the EU region.

Ask: Would anybody in the community have the exact service account details (domain or email) required for Google Chat apps to work within the EU region?

(The address in the manual seems not to be working)

AppSheet Support had nothing to offer unfortunately…

My problem resolution seems to be pretty straightforward in the AppSheet documentation (here below). But is seems I need a numerical client ID to activate “the Lower-permission service account” for EU to enter in this dialogue:
