The public Sentinel-2 dataset on Google Storage provides an index, which holds the metadata of this dataset (https://cloud.google.com/storage/docs/public-datasets/sentinel-2). However, while new sentinel images have been added, the index was last updated in August 2024 (https://console.cloud.google.com/storage/browser/gcp-public-data-sentinel-2/).
Was the index officially discontinued? There is no information on this on the dataset overview and this makes querying the data a lot more tedious.
