Can anyone please tell me if it is posible to send and email from gmail when I click the automatic action compose an email?
I have an email track extension for gmail but it only works if I send email directly from gmail.

That action just opens up the local default email app on your pc/device. If you have the local app set up to use you gmail, then it’ll work.

I am looking for the same thing. I need email to be sent from our organisation gmail service, not whatever default mail program the user has set.

I am going to explore this approach to see if a) an Appsheet “External: go to a website” action could trigger the gmail url; b) working out if it’s possible to embed body text in the url; c) constructing dynamic text within Appsheet and assign it to the URL call in the action.

Did you ever get this figured out?
With Iphone 13 Pro - even with GMAIL as default email app, I’m still prompted to “Restore Mail” from App Store.
Sending an email from w/in the app should be one of the easiest actions/automations to setup. However, I’m stuck.
What is “restore mail”? Sounds like the mail app on your phone is missing and it’s trying to get you to reinstall (“restore”) it.

Exactly. Your response triggered me to reinstall it. This solved my issue. Now I click the email button and my action is setup. Just strange to me that it didn’t allow me to send direct from GMAIL.
