I have had an alert configured to capture Scheduled Snapshot outcomes for quite some time and this has worked absolutely fine. That is, up until a few weeks ago.
With no changes made to the metric/logging, it appears that scheduled snapshots are no longer being captured.
I have gone back over the original documentation I followed: https://cloud.google.com/compute/docs/disks/scheduled-snapshots#logging_and_monitoring
and nothing has changed in the documentation, and my setup remains aligned with this.
I have checked all manner of logging settings but I cannot find any evidence of problems in the configuration that would have randomly changed.
The snapshots run once p/week on Saturdays and the last logged event was the 7th.
Its worth noting, the snapshots are executing fine and these are readily available upto and including the 21st, it is purely the logging side that is absent of these records.
Any known issues or changes (that documentation doesn’t yet reflect), or any suggestions on where to go looking as despite sinking quite some time into this, I am drawing a complete blank.
