Scheduled Slack Deliveries: How to Post as Looker Bot Instead of Individual Users?

We’re trying to configure our Slack integration so that scheduled Looker deliveries post as the Looker bot rather than individual users.

Current Behavior:

  • Scheduled reports post as the individual user who created them
  • Slash commands (/looker) successfully post as the Looker bot
  • We can see the bot has chat:write permissions in Slack

Desired Behavior:

  • Scheduled reports should post as @Looker bot instead of individual users

Environment:

  • Slack Workspace: Connected and working
  • Integration: Standard Slack integration

We’ve checked the Action Hub settings in Looker admin but only see basic enable/disable options. Is there a way to configure this either from the Looker side or through Slack app settings?

Any guidance would be appreciated!

I don’t think this is possible- I think all schedules will come through as the user who scheduled them.

I suppose you could make a consolidated Looker account to run all the schedules, and a corresponding Slack account with a name like “Looker schedule bot”?
