SAP HANA - n1-highmem-32

Hi,

I want to use SAP HANA on GCP, and I see that certified by SAP are VMs are n1-highmem-32. Doubt if I customize the VM by reducing the memory and processor to 04vCPU | 16GB Memory is the solution still certified by SAP by SAP?

Hello @rgobbo ,Welcome on Google Cloud Community.

According to https://cloud.google.com/solutions/sap/docs/certifications-sap-hana#hana-cert-table-custom-vms , nope. It wont be certified by SAP , if of course we are talking about production use ( especially because of ā€œA number of vCPUs from 32 to 64 that is evenly divisible by 2.ā€). Iā€™m understanding this sentence ā€œA number of vCPUs FROM 32 to 64 that is evenly divisible by 2.ā€ in a way where you have MINIMUM 32 vCPUs.
