Same database but with different name

HI,
I wonder if it is possible, by making a copy of the database in progress, to call it with another name and arrange that the copy of the app can have this database and not the previous one, in such a way that I could make changes to the database, test it with the 'app I copied instead of doing it to the original… Is this possible? If yes, can you have any link or instruction about it…?

If you copy the app and it copies the database as well, would that solve your case?

Thanks for your interest…
It could, but how do I then recover the new database if I have to transfer it to another account for reasons of convenience?

When you copy the app in your own account, the copied and its data source will atill be in same accounts.

We do not understand each other…
I copy the app complete with the database which is a Goggle Sheet… Since I’m going to make some changes, where can I find the Goggle Sheet file to transfer it to another account?

First.. the Google Sheet is not a database, just a spreadsheet in your gDrive ;-). And.. you can find that gSheet from gDrive > Root > AppSheet > Data > YourNewAppName-1234567

On the argument that Google Sheet is not strictly a database, I agree with you… But I started from such a file therefore… As for the control path, I already thought I entered it but I don’t remember having found the copied file… However, as soon as I find all this, I confirm… In the meantime, thanks for your attention…

Open the copied app, and then open the gSheet from the app editor. Now you can find the location for that gSheet.

HI,
I confirm that duplicating the app with the database copy leads to the use of a new file… Even if the copy bears the new name of the main table… But it is editable and works great… Thanks.. .
