Requesting access to gemini-1.5-pro-preview-0514 model in Vertex AI

Hello,

I am a new user on the Google Cloud Free Trial and I am trying to use the Vertex AI video generation model gemini-1.5-pro-preview-0514.

Project ID: (PII Removed by Staff)

My project has the Vertex AI API enabled and a service account with the “Vertex AI User” role is correctly configured. However, when I try to call the model via the API, I receive a 404 Not Found error with the message: "Publisher Model ... was not found or your project does not have access to it."

I have confirmed in the Vertex AI Studio that the gemini-1.5-pro-preview-0514 model is not listed in the model selection dropdown for my project.

Since my “Basic (Billing-only)” support plan doesn’t allow for a technical support case, I am requesting assistance here. Could you please help enable access to the gemini-1.5-pro-preview-0514 model for my project (PII Removed by Staff)?

We are looking for a video “generation” API. Reading through the documentation, unless I am mistaken, I don’t see that gemini-2.5-pro or gemini-2.5-flash can accommodate this. Can you please confirm?

Veo is the video generation model. Look for veo-3.0-generate-001. Gemini Pro output is text only.

How do I gain access to veo-3.0-generate-001?

How can I upgrade my level on Google Cloud Platform? Do I need to top up and spend a sufficient amount?
