I have setup a template report and created a table with 3 columns, however when I run the report and create a pdf the further you scroll down the pdf the smaller the columns get?
Any ideas?

From the screenshots shared, it sounds that for some reason the first page of the report is printing in portrait rather than landscape, even though the template seems to be in landscape mode.
There could be several reasons, but one could start with ensuring that both the template and the BOT task template settings are all set identically- in landscape mode.
Edit: Added little more description.
Managed to sort it turned out to be the table in word template was sent to auto which meant it was resizing columns. Changed this to fixed column width and sorted
