Report issue with sliced data

I created a slice for a report that does not seem to be filtering correctly, only when referenced by the report, strange. If I build a UX view of the slice the data is correct but when the report runs it is not. Tried rebuilding the report from scratch and same issue, any idea what may be causing this?

The report was copied from a ‘weekly’ version to create a ‘daily’ version and seems to return the ‘weekly’ results even though the daily slice is different.

Does your filtering depend on the current user?
Reports run under the identity of the app creator.

My terminology may have been confusing, there is only a data slice, no filter.

@Aleksi got me on track… MANY THANKS!

I had copied my weekly report and template to create the daily report, and although I changed the table the report refers to my daily slice, I did not update the start expression in that also includes the slice name. Derp. Live and learn!
