Hi there,
We have recently switched off the Quick unlock options for PIN and fingerprint via the Google Admin Console. It seems that even though the option is off, when the user signs out of their Chromebook, it prompts the user to sign in with their PIN upon first sign in, and when the device is locked, the password field shows.
I have reached out to Google Support, and they have advised that we would need to powerwash the device as the PIN is stored locally. Even though this works, it would be a big job to powerwash over 1000 devices, at one school, and would cause further implications.
Do you know if there is a way to deploy a script or another policy to prevent users logging in with PINs, and to remove the PINs locally?
Look forward to hearing from you.
Kind regards,
