Hi
The reason your team has to log in or authorize the connector when they try to view your Looker Studio dashboard is because of how permissions and data access work. Looker Studio dashboards aren’t automatically public, so when someone clicks the link, Google wants to make sure they’re supposed to see it. That’s why they need to sign in with a Google account, it’s just a way to confirm who they are.
Another reason this happens is because of the data source you’re using. If your dashboard pulls data from something like Google Sheets or BigQuery, Google might ask each person to authorize the connector. This is because the data source is set up to require individual authentication, which means every user has to prove they have access before they can see anything.
To fix this, you can change the dashboard’s sharing settings to make it public. Just go to Share in Looker Studio and change the access from “Restricted” to “Anyone with the link can view.”
If you don’t want to make it public but still want to stop the login issues, you can adjust the data source settings. In the Manage Added Data Sources section, change the credentials from “Viewer’s credentials” to “Owner’s credentials.”
This way, the dashboard will use your access instead of asking every person to sign in.
I’ve added pictures for reference on how to switch these settings.
