OAuth verification: "Request minimum scopes" not met, but no Trust & Safety email ever received (Slides add-on)

Hello,

Project number: (PII Removed by Staff)
App: GPT for Slides – Twistly (Google Slides Editor add-on)

Our data access verification is stuck on one item. In the Verification Center, Homepage, Privacy policy, App functionality and Branding guidelines have all passed, but “Request minimum scopes” is not met (last reviewed Oct 30, 2026). It says: “Your app does not appear to use the minimum scope(s) necessary for functionality. Follow the instructions in the email you received from the Trust and Safety team.”

We have never received any email from the Trust and Safety team, neither for this review nor for the earlier one on Oct 16. We checked inbox, spam and quarantine for all developer contact addresses listed in the project. Google Workspace Support (case #77155565) could not help and referred us to Google Cloud, where we cannot open a case without a paid support plan.

Our scopes: openid, userinfo.email, userinfo.profile, drive.file, presentations, script.container.ui.

We explained in our scope justification why we need presentations: the add-on opens a temporary presentation it created (drive.file) with SlidesApp.openById to copy slides into the user’s open presentation. We tested presentations.currentonly + drive.file, and SlidesApp.openById fails with “Specified permissions are not sufficient to call SlidesApp.openById. Required permissions: https://www.googleapis.com/auth/presentations”.

We are happy to change our scopes, but we don’t know which scope the reviewers consider unnecessary. Could someone from the Trust and Safety team please resend their email to our developer contacts, or tell us which scope needs to change?

Thank you!
