Hi,
My Google sign-in screen still shows the old app name, even though I changed it months ago.
Setup:
- Firebase Auth with Google provider (web app, Next.js)
- Publishing status: Testing (Verification Center says verification is not required)
- Firebase Google provider uses the auto-created Web client from the same project
Problem:
- Google Auth Platform > Branding > App name = (URL Removed by Staff) (changed about 4 months ago)
- Firebase Console > Project settings > Public-facing name still = “kelasmadising”
- Firebase says this name must be updated via Google Cloud Console, but changing Branding does not update it
- The Google account chooser still says “Continue to kelasmadising”
What I tried:
- Re-saved Branding twice today (changed the name, saved, changed it back, saved)
- Tested in incognito
- Public-facing name in Firebase is still “kelasmadising”
It looks like an old brand record is not syncing with the current Branding settings.
Can someone from Google update or resync the brand for this project?
