Credits can’t be transferred or shared between users or accounts. Google Cloud credits are issued directly to individual billing accounts through approved programs like the Google Cloud Free Tier, educational credits, or promotional trials managed in the Cloud Console under Billing > Credits. If you need access for learning or experimentation, the right path is to register for the free tier or check the Google Cloud Skills Boost platform, which frequently includes temporary lab credits tied to training courses.
For Vertex AI work specifically, you can use the free quota available in the Vertex AI Studio without requiring additional credits, though usage beyond that will bill to your account. If you’re part of an educational institution or developer community, your administrator can request additional credits through Google Cloud for Education or Partner programs rather than sharing existing ones.
