New resource: Self-serve debugging trees

Hey everyone, I wanted to share some new resources that we’ve been working on in the Best Practices section of our documentation! Looker Best Practices  |  Google Cloud Documentation

We’ve added a new subsection to the Troubleshooting section called Self-Serve Debugging Flows. These are decision trees that walk you through troubleshooting common problems, step-by-step. We’ve created a few of these already, let us know if they are helpful and if you would like to see more!

These look great, and I can imagine them being helpful next time I get an error. A useful resource for Developers.

The only feedback I have is that it is hard to read the wider flow charts, as the text is too small. I know there is an option to open in a new tab, but this just opens the flow chart on a new webpage, with the same width constraints, and there are no zoom controls (besides using my global browser controls). It would be a better user experience if you could zoom on the chart in-page, without having to click out to a new page. Or, if that can’t be achieved, then just allow users to click and open image in a new tab (so that the image is displayed in the original size).

For sure. That’s my biggest pet peeve with these as well.

I could serve them as images instead, but then we’d lose the nice hyperlinks.
