I’m looking for some help with a project I’m working on, and I was hoping someone here might have experience with AppSheet, Google AppScript, and AI technologies like vision api or Vertex AI or Gemini.
Project Goal:
I want to create an AppScript that can be used within AppSheet to upload a picture taken by phone camera and, using Vertex AI or Gemini, automatically generate a description of the picture, specifically identifying any repair work needed. For example, if I upload a picture of a broken sink, the script should describe the image and highlight that the sink is broken and needs repair.
What I Need Help With:
Creating the AppScript: Setting up the script that integrates with AppSheet and handles image uploads.
Connecting to Vertex AI or Gemini: Configuring the script to use AI to analyze the uploaded image and generate a description.
Outputting the Description: Ensuring that the description is correctly displayed in AppSheet.
If anyone has experience with these technologies and can offer guidance or share similar projects they’ve worked on, I would greatly appreciate it. Detailed explanations, code snippets, or any resources would be incredibly helpful.
