Yes this is a normal behavior as the app has these 2 additional users and their usage recorded in the logs for the next 30 days. Take a new copy V3 and deploy it without any additional users using it outside of the editor. And then of course set the V2 back to Prototype mode.
If you have Core or less, then use Editor > Manage > Versions > App Upgrade. Tough if you need to add more columns, it will affect app users as well when you add more to the data source. That’s always the challenge if you don’t have additional columns reserved in advance.
Thank you. So I guess when I have major changes, I should do what I did this time of creating a copy, do the development on it, and if I used more users than expected (for testing purposes), create another final fresh copy to be deployed so users count will be restarted.
It’s really disappointing to see that users count is updated even in prototype mode…
If there would not be any limit with the Prototype mode, people would use it in a wrong way. And if the app and it’s usage would be reset while deploying the app, or tranfering the app to another account, people would use that “hole” as well. Clicking the “Copy” button once while using the same data source doesn’t sound very big job to do, does it? -
