Have a client that has 2 Google SAS accounts and and need to combine them into a single account. The integrator for some new gear had created a new SAS ID for some reason. My assumption is that this was a ‘proof of concept’ project. Now I need to move all the CBSDs to our client’s original account as their PALs are associated to it.
I’m assuming that we will deregister all CBSDs, make the SAS ID change on the new equipment, and reregister the devices. Are there any ‘gotchas’ in doing this? Is there any potential outages other than the time between deregister and subsequent reregister?
Thanks in advance.

Please note that there is no such thing as a SAS ID. If you are asking about a user ID, then there will likely be no issues. The SAS fully supports re-registering the CBSDs with a different user ID as long as they were deregistered first**.** If all the devices were registered with the same SAS, deregistration and re-registration can all be performed in the same day. Make sure to delete the CBSD configuration from the SAS Portal account after the device has been deregistered, as the SAS Portal doesn’t support multiple CBSD configurations for the same device. The process of re-registering the CBSDs with a new user ID should go smoothly, but feel free to reach out if any kind of unforseen error occurs.

Can I open a ticket with you to discuss this with you as I don’t feel it proper to post ID and Deployments in the forum.
Thanks,

1:1 technical support is available via Google Cloud customer care, where you can open a ticket specific to this issue and share more sensitive information if you’d like.
Please note that in order to sign up for a customer care package, you must be a GCP customer. Please follow the steps below to transition your SAS account to GCP:
- Get started with Google Cloud to create a Google Cloud account. Select your Account Type as “Business” during set-up.
- If your company already has a GCP account, ask your organization’s admin to grant you access.
- Set up your Cloud Identity and Verify your domain.
- Create a Project ID by navigating to Home > Dashboard > New Project within the Google Cloud Console.
- Complete this SAS transition to Google Cloud Request form.
- Sign up for Google Cloud Customer Care to get 1:1 support for SAS.
More information regarding registration in general can be found here. If you are unclear how to change the user ID your CBSD is using to register with the SAS, I would advise you to make use of your device’s documentation or reach out to your CBSD vendor for assistance.

We finally got setup for support billing in GC! The customer I’m working with has Google Workspace which created a huge issue trying to give billing permissions in GC to those who were already billing admins on the Workspace side of things. I ended up having to add a new billing admin to the Workspace Billing Group. Once I did that, I was able to go in as that user and give permissions to others. Bottom line, I think we have support should we need it
