If you are referring to the Inline View issue described in the notes, AppSheet is implying they fixed it and are currently rolling it out to users in stages. Yesterday it was rolled out to 10% of users. Today they have rolled to 25%.
You need to describe or show what “IT” is. Is it exactly the problem described in the release? Can you elaborate on your issue? What actions do you take in the app that lead to the problem?
This has never happened to me before. It’s an app that’s been free for over 3 years, and in the inline views, the records aren’t shown to other users of the app, even though they are shown to others!
I don’t have formulas; it’s simply an inline view within a detail view, and as you can see in the image, the elements that another user added are not appearing.
This is a common error and usually occurs on CUSTOM LISTS because there is a mis-match in how the column is defined or implemented and the view you are attempting to display them on.
For instance, if the custom list uses an expression that is picking rows from a Slice. The view used to display the rows must also be based on the same Slice. Additionally the column MUST be a list type column with an expression the selects a list of row keys.
Can you show us your column configuration and the Inline view you are expecting to be used?
I’m really worried about the current status of AppSheet. We no longer have contact with the team, updates, and lately there have been bugs preventing us from using the apps for a while.
I’m starting to think about a way to migrate all my apps.
I have no inside knowledge, but I follow these forums closely, I have a long history with both AppSheet and Google, and I was a career systems and network engineer. Anybody that cares about business continuity and service resilience should have significant concerns about Google’s and AppSheet’s behaviors. Not “get out as fast as I can”, but more like “I should have a plan in case Google pulls the plug”. It’s like writing your will.
I understand the issue. As mentioned previously, I believe there is some kind of mismatch between the column used for the list and the view used to display the records. I do not think it is an error but rather an implementation problem.
I have seen this issue a few times over the years but do not remember circumstance that causes it to happen. I would need to see details of your implementation to help jog my memory.
I strongly suggest to open a Q and A post including all the details you have listed here so that others in the community can chime in. One of them may know exactly what change yo need to make to get it to work
The technical support team concluded that there is a bug in certain apps and they have supposedly been working on fixing it since Friday. Yes, there is already a post in the questions section
Is AppSheet dev paused while Gemini stuff like Gemini Enterprise etc shakes out?
Even copilot-crazed Microsoft wouldn’t pause their automation and self-service products… imagine if they stopped developing Power Automate/Apps etc.
