Hi all I have a problem with displaying actions in a deck - dashboard view.
When I use the “phone” view in the editor, I have all 5 actions that I have configured,
while using the “tablet” view (dashboard with deck view and details view) it seems like the maximum is 3 actions.
It all seems to depend on the size of the screen, because by enlarging the deck view of the dashboard I see everything complete again.
Is limiting actions a deliberate behavior or is it a bug?
It is deliberate. There is only a certain % of space allotted to the Action Icon bar. The smaller the window size, the fewer action icons that show. That limit, was at one point, increased so that the maximum that will show at all is eight, I think.
I am not sure of the rationale for the limitation. It seems a waste of white space when in some situations it would be helpful to show more actions. Why now allow that entire row of the Deck View to show actions if that space is not being used for anything else? I did, some time ago, create a Feature Idea to increase this limit, see link below.
