Feature AppSheet apps for desktop users (Preview)

The new desktop design, currently in preview, is optimized for desktop browsers, presenting a more complete view of information with a consistent organization and structure. AppSheet Enterprise plan is not free. It starts at $20 /user license /month.

Thank you very much!

I was considering buying it but I’m actually confused.

  • Does this purchase cover only one user?

  • Will I be charged for each user who logs in later?

  • Or if I purchase it for one user, will everyone in the workspace be covered even if they don’t use it?

  • Do I pay only for myself and everyone else will be under different subscription that is core subscription for the same app?

Please have a look below. It displays a total of 1 user:

I navigated to the above page from this page.

Note: I have many users who do not need enterprise AppSheet, just a few for now in this workspace account.

@Rifad Thank you for raising this question!

I have updated the Workspace Admin documentation to clarify that you’ll only be prompted for the number of licenses during the purchasing flow if you are signing up for an annual plan. As you discovered, for flexible plans, you’ll be charged for additional licenses when you assign users.

Add and set up AppSheet for Google Workspace

Hope this helps! But I believe you’ve already figured it out on your own. :slightly_smiling_face:

Thanks @lizlynch I was at the checkout screen, wondering if Workspace would end up charging me thousands of pounds for all the users. Just reading through it didn’t make it clear for me either now. For anyone else who needs a clearer understanding, here it is. I hope this helps.

Correct me if i am wrong :upside_down_face:

It’s been 24 hours, but my AppSheet account hasn’t updated to reflect the subscription upgrade. Could there be something I’m missing? @lizlynch

@Rifad - Good question! I will check with the team. There may just be a delay.
Love the flow chart! I like it. I might add something similar to the documentation! :slightly_smiling_face:

Yes please can confirm its been 2 days already still not showing up in appsheet.

@Rifad - Will let you know as soon as I get clarification! Thank you for your patience!

@Rifad can you please try to log out and re-login to AppSheet.com?

If the problem persists, can you please DM me your AppSheet account ID and I’ll ask the eng team to investigate.

Thanks.

Hi @lizlynch I’d like to raise a feature that would be a big hit.

When we set an action as inline to an image column the image remains clickable and expands and the action is shown in one icon below.

It would be a game changing if we could click on the image and run the action, it would be a game changing, inifinity possibilities of customization. Also, that would be great if we could do the same in the SHOW column type set as image, we could create linktoviews and hyperlinks.

Could you please arrange that change for the community?

Use longtext column with imgsrc tag to use image and inline actions. @peterson

You can even adjust width, height and so on using the html tags

@ccchen_google thanks a lot for your help. Its fixed right now. It was messing with existing core subscription. I had to remove it.

Yes @Rifad you are right, but I’d like to see that in the show column as well, because I could be able to ommit the column name. However, man you saved my life for bow. Thanks!!!

You should go to display name of column and just copy paste this —> “ “

I dont see any reason why you need that in show column. Longtext html is best way to do it and has more controls. Your request doesn’t make sense to me actually.
