Is there any way to trigger an AppSheet app sync from an external backend?

Hi AppSheet team,

I’m using AppSheet as a frontend while most data updates come from an external backend
via the AppSheet Data API.

The app uses Security Filters and user-based access (USEREMAIL / role logic),
so data visibility depends on who the app is running as.

When data is updated from the backend, there is currently no way to trigger
a client sync (Quick Sync / refresh) for active users.
As a result, users either have to manually refresh or wait for automatic sync,
which breaks near real-time workflows.

Is there any supported way to notify or trigger a client sync after API-based updates?
If not, I’d like to request this as a feature, especially for apps using
Security Filters and external backend integrations.

There are a couple of extensions for Google chrome browser that offer time interval based syncs for AppSheet.

You may want to evaluate.

I may mention that I have myself not tried these nor I have any affiliation to the creators of those extensions.
