iOS issues with Appsheet when working Offline

I wanted to share some insights for AppSheet users on iOS, as we’ve recently experienced issues with data loss due to app crashes and iOS clearing the cache. To help minimise these problems and improve offline performance, here are some tips we have found useful:

  • Sync Frequently:
  • Avoid Force-Closing the App:
  • Maintain Free Storage: Keep at least 10% of your device’s storage free to prevent iOS from aggressively clearing app caches.
  • Disable Low Power Mode: Turn off Low Power Mode to allow AppSheet to perform background tasks without restrictions.
  • Turn Off ‘Offload Unused Apps’: Disable this feature to prevent iOS from automatically removing AppSheet’s data when storage is low.
  • Enable Background App Refresh: Turn on Background App Refresh for AppSheet to maintain data consistency when the app is in the background.
  • Keep AppSheet Updated: Enable auto-updates in App Store.

These steps have helped us mitigate issues, but I’d love to hear if anyone has other workarounds or tips for dealing with cache clearing or crashes on iOS.
