Invoke REST API

Hello Exports,

Is there a way to integrate a REST API with App Sheet. I want to create a page that based on user input, invoke REST API and returns & displays response on the page. I read documentation where Rest could be involved but only in Fire/Forget format. Any pointers? or how would one handle such a request.

AppSheet has no way to receive returns when using a web hook.
