Intermittent issues with BigQuery Data Source, “Invalid JWT Signature“ message

Anyone else experiencing intermittent issues when using a BigQuery Data Source within an AppSheet app? In the last couple of days, users are reporting issues when launching a particular app/synching the app, and are getting the message “Error:“invalid_grant”, Description:“Invalid JWT Signature.”, Uri:“ (preceded by the table name).

Refreshing/resyncing the app soon after, and the issue goes away.

I am able to reproduce this within the app, via the editor, and also via Account Settings>Sources>Account Sources.

Via Account Settings, I open the “connection“, re-add the JSON key, click on Test, it works. I try again, it fails with the “Invalid JWT Signature“ message. I try again, it might work, it might fail.

The fact that it works at least some of the time demonstrates that there are no issues with the JSON key being used. Any suggestions on how to resolve/stabilise the issue? Are there issues at the moment between AppSheet and BigQuery?

Consider engaging Support. There may be an internal problem.

Looks like we routinely get some baseline rate of these but it occasionally spikes, maybe related to volume of requests. Looking into it. Do you also see timeouts or errors like “a task was cancelled?” And do you have a case number for the support request?
