Intermittent Dataset Configuration Error in Looker Studio (Redshift Source)

I’m using Looker Studio with an Amazon Redshift data source. Everything is set up correctly, the connection works, credentials are valid, security group rules are configured, and the Redshift cluster is publicly accessible with only Looker’s IPs whitelisted.

When I open my dashboard, I sometimes get a “Dataset Configuration Error.” This happens inconsistently, but often enough to disrupt the experience.

Would love to hear from others who’ve faced this with Redshift as a source and what they did to solve the issue.

Did you try adding an intermediate transport resource, such as Google Sheets? I think your data flow could be like this:
Amazon Redshift => Google Sheets => Looker Studio.

This approach can help you identify which data has issues in Google Sheets. When you need to update the data, just update the Google Sheet first, then update Looker Studio accordingly.
