Inability to edit api key expiry info for a registered app in the integrated developer portal

When a new app is registered in the Apigee integrated portal (or when an existing app is edited), there is no option to modify the API key credentials to include expiry information (ie, “never”, “date”, or “duration”).

This is inconvenient for API consumers, and for API producers, because whenever a consumer wants/needs an expiration date… which is common.. they must ask the API product owner or an Apigee admin on our team to create the app for them, or modify it after initial creation to add the credential with the expiry.

Bottom line: For Apigee customers who rely on the integrated portal, expiry dates for app credentials are manual, clunky, and mis-aligned with the how apps are defined in the Apigee console.

Could this be added to the product roadmap for the integrated portal? It would be very helpful for us.

Thank you

Peter is absolutely on target with the Issue description. Please add it to your roadmap as we have the same issue as well.

Thanks

Hi @PeterHBristol and @kranthibandaru, thank you both for sharing your feedback. We have shared this thread with the Apigee Product Management team to ensure they are aware of the continued interest in this functionality.

In the meantime, keep an eye on our Community Events for upcoming technical talks where you can connect with the community and continue your learning with Apigee.

Thanks Peter, Kranthi,
This has been added to the product backlog for further action.
