In recent days, every time a date is entered in my apps, it’s saved in GOOGLE SHEETS as dd.mm.yyyy instead of dd/mm/yyyy. This issue occurs when I use several mobile phones and PC, even after playing with local settings. I even tried using the TEXT formula to force the necessary format.
Appsheet recognizes it as a date, but Google Sheets does not. Do you have any idea what might be causing this and how to fix it?
The column set as date, both Google sheet and appsheet set to the same locale definition. any way, I think it should not produce point intead of slash in any locale definition. that’s weird and it started only in the last days with no change made, before that it worked with no issue.
What locales are you using? I checked one of my old apps that is using gSheet, and it has recorded dates with dots from 2017 with Finnish locale settings.
I’m using Israel locale settings. it works fine for years and I didn’t change anything. But now I tried changing it to UK, and it worked. The date appeared as dd/mm/yyyy. So, I suppose the locale settings for Israel have recently changed in AppSheet.
