Hi everyone,
I am building an app that integrates videos via Vimeo, and I have a critical security requirement: users should only be able to view the videos. I must prevent them from downloading or sharing the content.
Currently, the video player displays a “three dots” menu in the bottom right corner, which provides options to download or share the video file.
What I’ve done so far:
- I contacted AppSheet Support (Case 96884), and they confirmed that there is currently no native setting in AppSheet to hide these browser/OS default controls.
- I have configured the privacy settings on the Vimeo side (disabling downloads and restricted embedding to the appsheet.com domain).
My Question:
Has anyone found a workaround or a custom way (perhaps via specific UX settings or an alternative display method) to hide this “three dots” menu or overlay it to prevent user interaction? Protecting this intellectual property is vital for my project.
Any advice or creative solutions from the community would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance,
KU
