How to overlay dynamic text on an image in a PDF template?

Hi,
I’m using an automation in AppSheet to generate PDF files with a Google Docs template.
I have a static background image (e.g., a landscape photo) that I inserted manually into the template (not using <<[Image]>>).
What I want is to display dynamic text (coming from a column like <<[Quote]>>) on top of that image, like a text overlay.

But in the generated PDF, the image shows correctly, and the text either disappears or appears outside/under the image.

Is there a way in AppSheet templates to layer dynamic text on top of a manually placed image?
If not, are there any workarounds?
