The native Google Ads connector in Looker Studio only exposes the standard fields available in the Google Ads API reporting endpoints, so custom conversion variables are not surfaced directly. To bring those into Looker Studio, you’ll need to first export the data from Google Ads via the Google Ads API or Google Ads scripts into a storage layer such as BigQuery, making sure your custom variable fields are included. Once in BigQuery, you can connect that dataset to Looker Studio and build your report using those fields. This approach gives you full control over which custom dimensions and metrics are available for visualization.
