Plain and simple I am trying to find out if it is possible to get the Lat/Long from a Map View boundary indicating the range of Min Lat - Max Lat and Min Long - Max Long so that I would be able to use these values in a filter for a slice.
Although Map Views have the ability to stack pins into groupings, sometimes the map may look very clustered and I would like to have a table slice that only shows records that fall within the current map zoom level.
Is this possible?
I’m not aware of a way to query the map’s zoom level, or any other attribute of the displayed map.
if you have latlon data field, user lat(), long() expression to split the values into decimals using virtual column.
Set up usersettings for min lat, max lat, min long, max long as decimals.
Make a slice with user settings.
Create a simple table just one or two fields. ID + text
Create action to linktoview and bring the user to usersettings and attached it to the newly created table, inline action to text.
Place this view into dashboard plus map view made out of slice.
