I need some help. I created an app in AppSheet and created a folder in my Google Drive to store both my spreadsheet (which is my database) and the images I add from the app. Now that the app is finished, I want to move my project folder to a shared drive. I already moved it, and I also updated the path in AppSheet’s settings under “Default app folder” to point to the new location in the shared drive. So far, everything seems to work fine; the data displays correctly, and new records are added as expected. However, when I try to save an image, the app creates a new folder in my personal Google Drive instead of saving the images in the shared drive.
I searched for an answer in Gemini, and it suggested three things:
- Check that I changed the app’s initial settings to the new path.
(I already did this.) - Check that the “Image/File folder path” is empty in the photo columns.
(It is empty.) - Check that I have “Content Manager” permissions in Google Drive.
(I do have those permissions.)
Since I’ve checked all three of these things, Gemini couldn’t help me further, so I came here for help.
