I’m a systems engineer, although I’m not currently working in that field. I run a metalworking shop where we manufacture machines and also provide maintenance services to industrial clients.
I make great use of my engineering background in this activity — right now I’m developing an app for the industries I work with using AppSheet. It’s amazing how accessible and useful app development has become; it’s never been easier to create powerful applications so quickly.
What expertise do you have to share or what are you learning?
I’m always learning. In my line of work, automation is the main focus, and because of that I’ve had to learn how to design electrical panels and program PLCs, as well as design parts, manufacture, sell, and so on.
As I was saying, I’m currently developing an app to support incident management for a company’s assets, and for that, I’ve been diving deep into learning AppSheet.
What would you like to get out of this Community?
Learning from others’ experiences while also sharing my own to help solve the concerns I can.
What do you do for fun?
I really enjoy gardening and going for bike rides with my daughter and my wife. Whenever we can, we go to the movies together or meet up with friends. A good Sunday barbecue is something that can’t be missed.
If you are still leading the AppSheet Team as above, please help us keep this platform stable before updating new features or anything to improve it. We are very tired when Appsheet repeated down recently.
Hello everyone in the community! Greetings from Venezuela. ?E
My name is Juan Carlos Sánchez. I’m an entrepreneur and a great enthusiast of continuous learning. My journey into the world of technology began during the pandemic in 2020, and since then, I haven’t stopped studying and learning new things every day. Despite the communication challenges in my country, I’ve had the opportunity to develop several successful projects for clients using AppSheet. My initial experience with AppSheet has motivated me to delve deeper into programming topics with different languages, and I’m truly grateful to have such powerful tools at hand. I’m a fervent admirer of Google’s tools; I study them daily, and I’m constantly amazed by their continuous innovation in solutions.
Now, to introduce myself a bit better:

Corsica is a mountain in the sea, so there’s plenty to do: hiking, swimming. Being a biker, photographer, and videographer, I’m often on the road exploring new people and extraordinary places…
I’m a retired software product manager with a business background and enough curiosity to help me push through the technical issues I never formally studied. Over the past five years, I’ve been developing web tools of increasing complexity, focusing mostly on the needs of boating clubs and their unique membership and harbour management requirements. My goal is to turn this hobby into a modest revenue stream. During the quieter months, I enjoy spending time learning AppSheet and building online tools for fun, and I also love activities like curling and sailing.

So far I’ve never had to post any message since I found everything in this forum. I think I’ll mainly post here to suggest improvement or share bugs.

I’ve been working with AppSheet by myself and honestly, I didn’t really understand my data at first. But I’ve figured out how to make things work better and come up with simple, scalable solutions. I started helping others optimize and create their apps for a low fee. The cool part? They found it super helpful and are now paying for AppSheet to integrate it into their company systems. It’s been great!

Please feel free to post in your native language. There are several prominent French-speaking contributors in the community. Many of the rest of us are comfortable using the translation features built into our browsers to translate your language into our own. Those translations are often better than translations by someone who isn’t comfortably fluent in English.
Hey there! I’m Rob. I’m a computer science teacher in Florida. About 20 years ago I made database applications to help the engineering company I worked for, now, I’m using appsheet to make apps for my school. I like how easy it is to make a sleek UX with appsheet!
