In what part of the world do you reside?
I live in Tucumán, Argentina.

What do you work on?
I own a pizzeria, I’m an architect, and I also program with AppSheet (of all the above, my first vocation).

What expertise do you have to share or what are you learning?
What I have to say is that this platform is, in my eyes, the best in history so far. Anyone can get started without programming knowledge (I clearly recommend studying, but you can begin with no knowledge at all, as I did; and by programming, I don’t mean code but rather algorithm concepts and logic). I have managed to develop a very complex application I thought was impossible with AppSheet, and it is possible. That said, if you think about it and stay determined, you can achieve it. AppSheet may have some limitations, but it is growing and solves problems in record time. Google nailed it with this. I want to personally thank Google for everything that has accompanied us so far and for the recognition of this community and its members. Thank you for asking me to tell my story with AppSheet. What would you like to get out of this Community?
From this community, I’d like the AppSheet team to read the “Feature Ideas” section because it’s a goldmine for the platform’s growth (even if they implement just one or two features a year). Read it and respond. It’s good to feel supported.

What do you do for fun?
I play guitar, chess, and exercise. Until a few years ago, I practiced and competed in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

What do you work on?
I work with the development of solutions for business management. Currently my clients are Auto Insurance Companies and the Service Sector.

What expertise do you have to share or what are you learning?
I learned a lot with AppSheet, the integrations, logical expressions and all of this aligned with my knowledge in node.js and I was able to develop more than 40 applications today that are constantly used by my clients.

What would you like to get out of this Community?
The more support, the search for knowledge and keeping the objectivity of expressions in focus is the way for this community to share and help create professional success stories for everyone.

What do you do for fun?
I have fun finding new ways to integrate my personal projects with AppSheet and exploring new features, and I also like to play Counter-Strike 2 while I wait for my projects to build :slightly_smiling_face:

Live in Memphis TN Area. Hiking, Camping and Travel Fanatic. Married 15 years. 4 children. Traveled to most of the states and camping in most of them with my wife and kids in tents. I have seen most of the big name national parks. My wife and I celebrated our 15th in St Lucia.

My focus right now is helping my wife(a leader in education) develop apps and processes to improve her staff and students education experience using Google education products. I have developed multiple apps to help with dismissal, managing data for students and teachers. I have witnessed appsheet develop into a wonderful tool over the years.

Aloha from Hawaii!

I am an IT Manager trying to help make things more efficient without making it more difficult.

I recently found out that AppSheet is part of our Google Workspace license so excited to try to make a few things. I’m not a programmer by experience but have been dabbling when interested.

I love to play Pickleball so after I make my first couple work apps I might try to make one for Pickleball play coordination.

Appreciate any help and someday hope to be able to help others here.

Thank you, much appreciated. I made my first post for a solution that will solve several functions. Trying to figure out how to update a record in a different table with some info from the current table and prompting the user for other information to complete the record.

Hey everyone! Thanks for the opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Pablo Jauregui, and I’m an electronics engineer with over 16 years of professional experience.

In what part of the world do you reside? Lima, Peru. Welcome, and feel free to share experiences related to AppSheet, Gemini, and Peruvian gastronomy!

What do you work on? I’m currently a Customer Engineer for Latin America at Xertica, a Google Cloud partner. Before this, I led the AppSheet tribe at Xertica for over two years, training junior engineers in low-code development and agile methodologies. We achieved significant AppSheet expertise through hard work and dedication, designing innovative services for clients across Latin America.

What expertise do you have to share or what are you learning? I’ve been a Google Workspace Administrator Certified for over eight years, and I also have a master’s degree in project management and a Scrum Master certification. I’ve published a couple of articles in the digital magazine of the Peruvian College of Engineers, and I’ve started teaching and mentoring in entrepreneurship. This experience has allowed me to work with diverse clients across different sizes and industries, understanding their processes and adapting them to the digital revolution.

What would you like to get out of this Community? I’m looking for more use cases, solutions to our clients’ issues, expanding and sharing knowledge, and providing as much feedback as possible to the AppSheet product team so we can improve the platform.

What do you do for fun? During the pandemic, I played a lot of Call of Duty with university buddies. Now that that’s over, I’ve returned to my passion for walking, traveling, and taking photos. And, of course, complaining about Peruvian soccer!

Created an appsheet for maintaining my Patient flow in my cardiac surgery department. But i am no expert, infact just a beginner. A surgeon BTW

Working on various apps that we can use with the Community Patrols of New Zealand (cpnz.org.nz).

What expertise do you have to share or what are you learning?

20+ years working for global tech company (specialising in positioning systems/GPS/GNSS amongst other things).
Co-chair of Digital Safety Initiative (digitalsafety.org) where we’re focussing on fixing Cyber issues that could hurt or kill family and friends.
Global expert on various application security technologies (SBOM’s, SCA, SAST amongst others).

What would you like to get out of this Community?

Love to learn new tips+tricks (and help others).

What do you do for fun?

I volunteer for our local Community Patrol (=eyes and ears for Police). Instead of moaning about problems, we proactively - and often when others are tucked up in bed - keep an eye on our community to reduce crime.
But I’m a “work smarter;not harder” sort of person - hence why I’m keen to use AppSheets on a tablet to track events and make patrol tracking easier for everyone.

Hi folks

I’m Julie, and I live in the UK, about half an hour by car west of Heathrow.

I’m a long time Google Workspace user (and a former Google+ Product Expert), and administer a legacy personal workspace, as well as another for a small team of people who (on a voluntary unpaid basis) run a small local family-friendly music festival, where we have over 40 acts over 3 days and 2 stages. I’ve been involved in helping to run it since 2021, and have been a Director since 2023.

I’m using Appsheet to create a bespoke check-in system for the advance ticket holders to the Festival, using purchase data downloaded from our website platform. We have 12 different ticket types which can be mixed and matched on an order (whole Weekend plus Day tickets for each of Sat/Sun/Mon x 3 Age Groups - Adult, U18, U8), and we can also check in only SOME of those tickets if parties don’t all arrive together, or if people buy tickets for two different days.

By day, I’m a part time Administrator for a builder’s merchant, and also involved in helping to implement new technology solutions to enable the business to run more efficiently. Sadly, that’s a Microsoft shop. But I probably spend as much time doing unpaid work for the festival as I do paid work there.

I’m effectively new to Appsheet. I switched from Glide (which I was no great expert in either) last year, but didn’t make a very good job of creating the app I needed in Appsheet, so I’m back starting from scratch this year, giving myself more time, and aiming to make a much better job of it, and this time also including some extra functionality for those involved in the organisation of the event.

I graduated in Computing in the 1980s (yes, I’m in my 60s), and first worked in software support for HP for 9 years (back in the days when mini computers and mainframes were common, storage was measured in Megabytes, and took as much space as a washing machine, PCs were rare, and laptops hadn’t yet been conceived … unless you count the ZX Spectrum, et al). After that I left the industry … and have kept gravitating back towards IT in every job I’ve had since! So I have a reasonably good understanding of databases, and am a bit of a whizz with a spreadsheet!

I’m here to get help when needed in setting up and finessing my app if I get stuck. The most important part will be the check-in functionality, but I also want to use it to enable the team to add our guests this year, instead of having a paper guest list or having to manually add information to the underlying spreadsheet. I’d also like to get some live stats on tickets sales and arrivals.

When I’m not doing techy stuff, I love Salsa dancing. I’ve been dancing as a follower for over a decade, and as a new challenge (post-Covid, when a new beginners class started up near me), I’m now learning to lead.

I enjoy making jewellery (mostly beads and wire, but a bit of resin work too), and nail art. And I’m reasonably proficient with a sewing machine.

I’ve also been known to dress up in Victoriana hat, skirts, goggles and corset for Steampunk events, and love adapting and accessorising my outfits.

In what part of the world do you reside?
I’m Scott from Scotland (living in England now) - representing the John Lewis Customer Delivery Hubs.

Fairly new to AppSheet but already a self-taught expert! I was asked in early January 2025 to build something that streamlines change requests and new ideas on how something should be done in the network. After some research I discovered Google AppSheet and I absolutely love it! I have earned a massive amount of recognition because of the app I built using AppSheet.

What do you work on?
My app is all about suggesting new ideas and requesting changes to policy and procedure in my business area. Officially I work as a Transport Compliance Admin but deep down I’m a tech-wizard at heart!

What expertise do you have to share or what are you learning?
A lot of my knowledge is self-taught but I’ve dived deep enough into AppSheet to know nearly everything it can do, what it can’t do and workarounds in between - I’m always craving new announcements! I am currently learning how to perfect my PDF Report Templates in HTML/CSS.

What would you like to get out of this Community?
Sadly I am very alone in my business area when it comes to AppSheet development, coding and tech-wizardy - it is quite literally a solo project being utilised by 50+ users. Therefore, having a community to talk to, discuss solutions, feedback on new features, etc will always be welcomed!

What do you do for fun?
Since moving to England last summer I have found myself going on lots of solo road trips up and down the UK. It’s especially fun if the weather is beautiful and there’s a peaceful area to explore
