Hi How are You ?

Of course! It can definitely feel like you’re going in a loop when trying to connect your Google Calendar to other apps. The key is knowing which link or method to use for what you want to do.

There are generally two ways to connect your calendar: one for viewing only and one for full editing and syncing.

:right_arrow: Option 1: To View Your Calendar in Another App (Read-Only)

This method lets other applications see your Google Calendar events, but you can’t make changes from that app. It uses a special private link in a format called iCal.

Here’s how to find that link:

  1. Open Google Calendar on a computer (not the mobile app).

  2. On the left side, find the calendar you want to share, hover over it, and click the three dots â‹® that appear.

  3. Select “Settings and sharing”.

  4. Scroll down to the “Integrate calendar” section.

  5. Look for the “Secret address in iCal format”. This is the link you need. Don’t use the public address unless you want everyone to be able to see your calendar.

  6. Copy this entire link. It will start with https://calendar.google.com/calendar/ical/... and end with .../private-.../basic.ics.

  7. Paste this link into the other application where it asks for a calendar URL, iCal link, or subscription.

:left_arrow: Option 2: To Fully Sync Your Calendar (View and Edit)

This is for when you want the other app to have full permission to add, edit, and delete events. This is common for productivity apps, booking software, or alternative calendar apps.

This process is started from the other application, not from Google Calendar.

  1. In the other application, look for a settings menu with an option like “Connect Account,” “Integrations,” or “Add Calendar.”

  2. Choose the option to “Add Google Account” or “Sign in with Google.”

  3. A Google sign-in window will pop up, asking you to log in to your Google account.

  4. After you log in, Google will show a permission screen asking if you want to allow this application to “Manage your calendars.”

  5. Click “Allow” or “Accept.”

The application will then be securely connected to your Google Calendar with full sync capabilities. :white_check_mark:
