We’re running into an issue today where having made no changes to our dashboard, it is now covered in ‘Consent required’ interactions.
I’ve posted the two issues below, thanks in advance for any help/advice…
1) Not sure why these interactions are needed?
We’re using BigQuery as a datasource, but don’t have row-level permissions enabled for this data source, and we’re not using ‘Filter by viewer email’. So my understanding is we don’t require explicit user authorisation for any operation that we manage. According to the dialogue, the permission is requested for “Account ID and email address (used for audit logging)” although I can’t find where that is configured in Looker.
Is there any way we can avoid having these dialogues entirely?
2) Even when clicking allow, the popups keep reappearing
Initially, clicking Allow on the dialogue will dismiss the popup, but on each interaction with the dashboard (e.g. entering a new search term in a search field) this popup appears again. This is almost unusable for the user.
Is this a bug? Or is there anything else we can manage to make this easier?
