It is easy to miss a meeting if you are not on the calendar screen. Adding multiple meeting reminders is disruptive to recipients who do not want multiple reminders. Internally Google has a Chrome plugin Call Dont Be Late that automatically launches Google Meet appointments. The extension automatically launches that appointment in a separate window as a reminder. The meeting will not start, but you come to the preview page.

Is there a public extension available like this?

That sounds like a useful tool! As of now, I’m not aware of a public extension that works exactly like “Don’t Be Late.” You might want to check the Chrome Web Store for similar meeting reminder extensions or explore automation options with Google Calendar and third-party tools.
