Now part of the Community! The Google Cloud Architecture Framework
Last month we launched a new space in the Community dedicated to the best practices and recommendations outlined in the Google Cloud Architecture Framework.
There are a few key features of this new space, with each feature offering different benefits and engagement opportunities:
- Discussion Forum: Engage in open discussion forums about designing, building, or operating your cloud architecture. Ask or answer questions, start a conversation, add comments, and share “likes.”
- Architecture Framework Guidance: Access a series of canonical, expert-written articles that will help you quickly find practical guidance and address specific cloud architecture questions.
- Community Blog: See the latest updates and blogs written by Googlers, featuring their expert recommendations and cloud architecture best practices, such as those in the image below.

Kick off 2022 with a Cloud Learning Log

Whether you’re working towards a Google Cloud Certification, learning a technical skill, going for a new career, or just starting out in the cloud, a Cloud Learning Log can be a great way to stay on track and receive support to help you achieve your goals. The Learning and Certifications team will be supporting you along the way with:
-
Weekly prompts to help you take stock of your accomplishments
-
Learning insights from experts
-
Interactive meet-ups with your peers and Googlers
-
Extra credit options to foster conversations - and to earn some swag

Which Google Cloud certification is right for you?
Based on survey responses from the 2020 Google Cloud certification impact report, 87% of Google Cloud certified individuals are more confident about their cloud skills. If you want to improve your skills, but you’re just not sure which certification is right for you, then check out this blog, which provides a brief description and one-minute video that explains each of the Google Cloud certifications.
Still have questions? Let us know what you’re thinking in the Learning Forum and the Community can help you out!

Community feature updates in December
The Community Team continues to work hard to improve our Community based on your valuable feedback. Here are some recent updates to our Community features:
We’ve added a new “Attending Events” feature for Community-hosted events so you can save your spot for an event in one click. With the “Send Invite” button, you can also easily send an invite for your peers or teammates to join as well.
For example, you can mark your attendance for our upcoming Ask Me Anything on System Design Best Practices.
Please note that this feature will only apply to events hosted by the Google Cloud Community team. For events that are hosted outside the Community, you will still need to register for each event according to their respective forms or processes as you would normally.
Check out all the upcoming Google Cloud events and subscribe to the board to stay up to date!
We hope you enjoy our new feature updates and thank you to all our Community members who continue to make this space an engaging and informative place to be. If you have any feedback, please feel free to add your thoughts to the Community Feedback forum here or add a comment directly to this post.
Make sure you don’t miss out on the latest Community news, activities, or opportunities by subscribing to News & Announcements.
