I am currently experiencing a issue with 3rd party vendors, partners, and customers that receive excessive calendar invite notifications originating from Google Calendar. calendar-notifications@google.com.
My company use Office 365 and Exchange for email systems. The meeting is accepted via outlook and office 365. The 3rd part receives , just about every hour 3 notifications cycling through Accepted, Tentatively Accepted and Declined.
This causes confusion and frustration.
I went through 3 levels of Google support and the best solution only solution they have provided is to instruct my 3rd parties to change their calendar notification settings. Obviously not a viable solution as one partner alone has tens of thousands of employees across the globe.
We tired disabling all 3rd party applications, disabling access to calendar for the tenant. disabling API access to applications. Nothing stops Google Callender from sending out Meeting Invite notifications in excessive force.
According to Support there is no way for me to block outbound calendar meeting invite notifications. Google Cloud needs this security feature. Similar to Gmail routing. I need the administration feature to block outbound google calendar notifications.
