Hello
I am using the Google Booking Calendar with a Google Workspace subscription, and I have activated the integration with Stripe to receive payments.
I need to be able to use coupon codes on the booking check out page to offer discounts to clients. At the moment, it is not possible, and this prevents me from launching campaigns on bookings.
What has been found out with the help of the Stripe tech support team:
The allow_promotion_codes parameter is not being passed through the integration. They told me that the Google Calendar team has the ability to enable promotion codes in the checkout flow
They also told me to refer the team to the following technical documentation
https://docs.stripe.com/billing/subscriptions/coupons#add-promotion-codes-to-checkout
This issue was flagged also on the Google Calendar Community Help Forum
Generally speaking, according to my experience, coupons created in Stripe are usually assigned to a product / payment link. Currently it is not possible to see - in the Stripe back-end - the booking(s) that have been created from the Google Booking Calendar. So, even if I create a coupon, I cannot connect it to anything.
I have an open ticket with Stripe, and they are encouraging the Google Calendar Team to reach out directly. They said that they can coordinate with the Google Calendar team to address any technical questions about enabling promotion codes. I can provide the ticket no., if someone from the team reach out to me directly.
On a side note, I also sent out a feature request to be considered some months ago and I have been in touch with the Google Workspace support team regarding this. After quite a few back and forth, they told me to come to this forum and write here about this issue.
I am not a developer, but I do hope someone from the team will consider this ![]()
Thank you
L
