gca in vs code now gets stuck in its temp fil

New symptom of GCA functionality loss in VS Code:

When changes are accepted, they are written to a temp file, but never make it into the target file.

As a workaround, I copy the contents of the temp file, and paste them into my working context file.

This is NOT caused by large files or large sets of changes. For example, in this case, there are just 3 changes in the diff, and the working context file is just 45 lines long.

I’m finishing up my project to get it to a stable state, and then moving to another AI assistant tool in VS Code until I hear that GCA is fixed. I’m rather astonished that nobody from Google has responded in a major incident manner to these breakdowns that have hit users.
