This is my first posting to the Community. I am struggling with my maiden AppSheet.
I have a single table with two views: Main Table View and Map View
On selecting a row on the main table I want to filter the map view to that specific row address.
Any help would be appreciated.
I think you may want to check into Interactive Dashboards. In your case, you would add a third view to the dashboard that acts as the control. Select the control record you wish and the other two views will automatically filter based on the chosen record.> > The article below discusses Interactive Dashboards and has an animation showing how it could work. Once yo understand them, they are very, very easy to setup.> > > help.appsheet.com> >
Many thanks for your prompt response. You have pointed me in the direction of a lot more study to which I will now commit myself.
Can I request a favor - can I continue with you as my guide until I get this simple AppSheet up and running.
Thanks again but I am having difficulty understanding how the Community system works.
I failed to discover a BEGINNER’S guide.
What would be a tremendous help would be if I could forward my beginner’s App to you with a brief description of my concept and objectives. It is just two tables. I am hoping it is like riding a bicycle, I want to learn by doing until I become launched.
Forgive my ignorance but how do I communicate this to you?
Hello @rjtroy, i found this post very useful when i first started using appsheet, and that was only 1 month ago:

AppSheet is a “no code” platform which makes app building a relatively quick and easy thing… once you have your head around a few basics. If you’re like me you’ll probably dive right in and start building without reading this stuff and end up wasting a great deal of time going in circles. Trust me, if you can manage it, take a couple of days to go through this stuff first. The time you loose up-front will easily be made up later… Not exhaustive and in no particular order, here a…
I highly suggest you check it out before trying to get your first app up and running, if your tables doesn’t contain any private information you could take a screenshot of each and post them here, if they do you could fill them with dummy data and then upload them.
Thank you for your reading list - in fact, I had dabbled through a lot of your suggestions over the past three weeks but in random order. I like e your suggested sequence.
Now, here is my progress report.
I took a step back and asked myself what it is I am trying to accomplish. I am active in my local community for Charity and Political purposes. See the attached Excel spreadsheet with Flow Chart.
