Finding Where A Filter Is Being Used?

I have a Looker Dashboard that has 6 pages. 5 pages have multiple charts and reports on them, some pages with drop downs and option filters. I have been cleaning up this report and got rid of all filters that weren’t being used anywhere, and renamed the filters that are being used, so they can be identified more easily. There is one filter that says it’s being used on 1 chart, but I can’t find it. I have checked every chart, every page setting, and the report setting. Is there any other way to find where this 1 darn filter is being used?

When you go to Resource > Manage Filters, it will show a Used in Report column that will list x chart(s) indicating how many charts are using it. It would be immensely helpful if it could tell you which ones!

Any help so I can find where this filter is being used, would be greatly appreciated.

The only hack I can think of is to change that filter to Contains “TESTING123” or something like that, then go see if you find anything in your dashboard that shows “No Data.”

You could also check any blends to see if they are using said filter.

Thank you for the suggestion. I will try that. I already removed all the blends, as there weren’t any active, so they won’t be the issue.

I will report back if this works.

That totally worked! I changed it from exclude is null to include contains asdfjsa;ldfkjs;aldkfj and that was silly enough to break the chart that shouldn’t have had that filter on it!

Brilliant! Thank you!
