Failed to Load PDF suddenly started to appear.

I have done No changes to the APP at all.

But now trying to load the generated report as a PDF gives ‘Failed to Load PDF’

On new older generated report and new one.

The actual PDF saved on Google Drive is perfectly visible.

So what has AppSheet changed recently? Automations? Anything.

I habe reported to Support but no resolution as yet.

The corrupt PDF retrieved via the CDN is 133KB.

The actual PDF that loads correctly is 1.4MB

Smaller PDFs work.

It may not be relevant to your problem, but we can access it ignoring the cache by adding the UniqueID to the referring URL.

Maybe it will change the phenomenon.

Adding unique value to the URL as query string will not change the current behavior, as it seems the root cause is somewhere else. We checked out production app and confirmed there is a tendency where the PDF size is relatively large, then it fails to open the PDF file through appsheet.com server. I m purely guessing some breaks in CDN are currently happening. Anyway, our prodution app is out of use due to this issue, we simply hope a quick fix will be brought.

I am not very confident that AppSheet support understand that this is a SYSTEM issue that has started happening this week, and NOT an issue with a particular APP.

Surely other people are having the issue?

Is this still a problem?

It’s was fixed by AppSheet a while ago
