Expression Assistant: Missing colors

Hi all,

First time poster, but been using the Q&A to search for answers many times, thank you all for that! My question might be stupid, but last night I saw that the text and expressions in my Expression Assistant had colors for the first time. For months I was using this and everything was just black text. I thought wow, finally this helps, thinking it was a new feature. Now today it’s back to plain black text. So apparently it has been there for a long time, I just have never seen it that way before. Is this an option I can turn off or on?

This is how I want it to look like:

And this is what mine looks like:

Thank you for your help!

Please try the option in any expression assistant window’s top right corner.

Also please refer to the below article and the last post in the community post thread below

Hi,

Thank you for your reply. I don’t have that improvement button available. Only on top level I have a similar icon to switch to legacy or expert, I have expert enabled. But my screen looks like this:

I found that article indeed, I don’t see a post thread there though?

Could you show where it is ?

Post thread is in the second link above.

It’s in the place below.

Thanks, found the post thread, was only showing 1 link before.

No sorry, it is not that, That icon is for editor.

As I shared the image, please go to any parameter( such as App formula, Show_if , editable_if constraints etc.) and please open the expression assistant where you enter the expression. The icon should be available in the right corner of the expression assistant window.

Hi, yes I know it’s not the one you meant, I was just saying the only similar icon I have is that one.

I don’t have that icon in my Expression Assistant window, it’s missing, see below.

both in Chrome and in Edge.

Oops. Got it. Thank you. Sorry no idea on its rolling schedule for all accounts. I also started seeing it today. Please clear cache and see if it starts appearing for you.

Aah ok, if this is a new feature then that might be the problem. Just strange It apparently was turned on for me by default once, but it got reverted. I’ll try clearing cache. Thanks for your help!

Clearing cache didn’t fix it. But by reading the article I found out there was an appsheet toolbox available, so I added that extension to chrome, wish I found that sooner!
