Error loading Preview/Integration tabs in Vertex AI Agent Builder (gen-app-builder)

Hello,

I am encountering a persistent error when accessing the Preview and Integration tabs in my Vertex AI Agent Builder application (Search & Conversation).

Context:

  • I created an AI application using Google Drive as the data store.

  • This setup was working perfectly last month.

  • However, when I checked it today, I started receiving an error message in the GCP Console.

Symptoms:

  • The error occurs immediately when clicking on the Preview tab or the Integration tab.

  • I attempted to troubleshoot by creating a brand new AI Application (Engine), but the exact same error persists on the new app as well.

Error Message: The console displays the following error toast:

There was an error while loading /gen-app-builder/locations/global/engines/xxxxxxxx/configurations?project=xxxxxxxxxxx. Please try again.
It may be a browser or network issue. Go to the loading issues help page to troubleshoot the issue.

I am having the same problem here. It works for the API integration that I had already setup. Seems to be a Google issue?

I am having the same problem here, even when creating a new agent from scratch.

You can with a global setting but not with an EU setting, is this some sort of new regulation they’ve implemented?

I am having the very same problem, which is a bummer as I have to keep data in eu region… App type Custom search (general). The data store shows as Active / Enabled.
”There was an error while loading /gen-app-builder/locations/eu/engines/”.

I have tried creating a global App with an empty account, but got the same “error while loading”

So it seems its not an EU issue, its specifically for Google Drive.
